Solving Systems Algebraically - Substitution

This is the outline for my lesson on solving systems of two equations algebraically using substitution.

Planned differentiation for TAG students will be an extension of the lesson. They will work with systems of three equations with three variables.

ESOL students will likely see the solution graphically better than using the algebraic method. Therefore, I'll have ESOL students first graph the equations to find the solution, then use the algebraic method. The graph will serve both as a launch pad for them to see where their answer should be, and a tool for them to check their answers as well.
